Pal Arinsal
A summer-led Pal Arinsal mountain day for active families, biking, walking, resort activities, winter snow and local food
Pal Arinsal is La Massana's two-sector mountain resort, with Pal and Arinsal working as a winter ski area and a stronger summer mountain activity base. Treat it as a La Massana or Arinsal day plan rather than only a ski-resort listing: the best visit starts with the season, weather, lift status, sector and group confidence.
Summer should lead the first public version. Bike Park trails, cross-country routes, e-bike trails, Bike World, walking, high ropes, pump tracks and family adventure activities make Pal Arinsal useful for active families as well as riders. Winter still matters for skiing, snowboarding, lessons and snow activities, but the visit should help visitors see Pal Arinsal as a mountain and adventure day across more than one season.
The practical local choice is where to start, where to park, what children or the least confident person can do, and whether the meal should be a quick resort bite, an Arinsal finish, a La Massana lunch or a more special Andorran food stop nearby. Build in weather flexibility, layers, good shoes, phone readiness and a bad-weather fallback in the towns or Andorra la Vella. Prices, passes and rentals also matter, especially for families planning more than one paid activity.
