OpenAI Codex
These instructions relate to Codex within the ChatGPT desktop app
Codex supports two ways to connect to PlanMyVisit: MCP and WebMCP
Configuration
Connect with MCP
Codex uses the same PlanMyVisit connection as ChatGPT
Turn on developer mode
In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode
Add PlanMyVisit
Open Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins, select the + button and add a plugin named Plan My Visit
Connection address: https://api.autoura.com/api/mcp
Connect your PlanMyVisit account (email address required)
Complete the secure sign-in or sign-up flow when asked
Add it to a chat
Select New chat in Codex, then select the + button and add PlanMyVisit
Use MCP in a live voice conversation
Start a new chat
Select New chat in Codex
Start the voice conversation
Select the audio-call button
Then add PlanMyVisit
After the voice conversation has started, select the + button and add PlanMyVisit
Connect with WebMCP
WebMCP works through a PlanMyVisit page open in the Codex browser
Start a new chat
Select New chat in Codex
Paste a visit-page address
Paste the PlanMyVisit web address into the chat
For example: https://www.planmyvisit.to/BuckinghamPalace
Tell Codex what you want to do
Ask Codex to plan your visit using that page
Use WebMCP in a live voice conversation
- Select New chat in Codex, then start the voice conversation
- Paste the PlanMyVisit visit-page address into that chat
- Ask Codex to plan your visit using that page
Visits
Tell Codex about your visit
Tell Codex where you want to go, when you are going and who is joining you
For example: “Plan my visit to Buckingham Palace on [date] with [people’s names]”
Create the visit plan
Ask Codex to use your preferences and create or update the shared plan
Use it while you are there
Return to the chat or voice conversation for help during the visit

Access your preferences
Ask Codex to access your PlanMyVisit preferences in a chat or voice conversation
Make changes
Tell Codex which preferences you want to add or update
For example: “Remember I don’t like tomatoes”
Your visit plans update automatically
If you have any visit plans, PlanMyVisit automatically updates them to reflect your changed preferences
