New Orleans Tapas-style tour with flavors from Spain, the Caribbean, and Louisiana through architecturally unique neighborhoods plus shopping
New Orleans is considered the most European of American cities, though with a style all its own. Home to a blending of many cultures, the cuisine reflects this. This tour is a blend of Spanish, Caribbean and New Orleans/Louisiana flavors and takes you on a journey through historic Uptown, famous for its diverse architecture. Part of the route is on Magazine Street, which is known for its small boutiques and art galleries.
It's a fun bike ride. It may be a bit too much to walk for some between stop 1 (Costera) and stop 2 (Baru) particularly in the summer months (April through September) as it is pretty hot in New Orleans then.
Sue hopes you enjoy her route! She's been covering the city's culture and food scene for more than 25 years.
