Local favourites in historic Canterbury

Focusing on independent and local cafés and restaurants, this food tour takes you from one of the oldest streets in Canterbury known as the Burgate, through the bustling high street, and all the way down to the impressive and imposing Westgate Towers.

Having spent his student years in Canterbury, and having worked as a tour guide with Canterbury Historic River Tours, Jack is keen to support local businesses and provide visitors with the best possible foodie experience - no popular chains here. Experience both Canterbury's great food and impressive history in this tour.

Stop off at the Burgate Coffee House for a freshly brewed cup of coffee and then gaze at the wonderous Christchurch Gate, the official entrance to the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral. Visit Canterbury's best pulled pork takeaway and walk down to the High Street, crossing the old King's Bridge over the River Stour. Pop into Kitch for something a bit healthier before indulging in French delights at an authentic French café. After passing under the Westgate Towers, finish your tour at Café des Amis, Orlando Bloom's favourite restaurant in his home town of Canterbury
