AI protocols
Use MCP or WebMCP to connect another AI or device to PlanMyVisit
MCP
We provide 35 tools through MCP for compatible AI products, custom agents and new device experiences. They support planning before a visit and assistance while someone is there
MCP endpoint
https://api.autoura.com/api/mcpProfiles and registration
- People can register an individual profile using an email address and connect their own AI agents
- AI agents can self-register or create and connect a profile on behalf of a person
- An agent registering for a person needs access to an email address for verification. This can be the person’s email address when authorised, or the agent’s own email address
- Register when the profile is new, or sign in when it already exists, then complete email verification before using protected tools
WebMCP
Available- All tools available through MCP are also available through WebMCP
- WebMCP does not support AI-agent self-registration. A person must sign in or sign up on this PlanMyVisit website
Browser support
WebMCP is a simple way to connect PlanMyVisit to an AI, but browser adoption is still at an early stage
-
Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app: supported and tested with PlanMyVisit
The secure email link signs in whichever browser opens it, so it must open in the Codex browser where you started
1Request the email
Start sign-in from the PlanMyVisit page open in the Codex browser
2Copy the secure link
Open the email and copy the sign-in link address instead of opening it in your regular browser
3Open it in Codex
Paste the link into the Codex browser address bar and open it to complete sign-in in the correct session
- Google Chrome 149 or later: WebMCP is in early preview. For testing, enable
chrome://flags/#enable-webmcp-testingand relaunch Chrome. Chrome WebMCP documentation - Microsoft Edge 153 or later: WebMCP is experimental through an origin trial. Local testing can use
edge://flags/#enable-webmcp-testing. Edge WebMCP release notes
Get started
Open PlanMyVisit in the supported browser
The homepage can help discover a visit. An individual visit page supplies the context for that place
Sign in or sign up in that browser
The PlanMyVisit website session must exist in the same browser where the AI is using the page
Return to the starting page
The browser AI can then discover the available PlanMyVisit actions and use them with your permission
