Ride along the National Cycle Network from Oxford to Blenheim Palace and back, discovering the fascinating history of Sir Winston Churchill as you go
Your cycle route starts in Oxford city centre, taking you through the city, along the Oxford Canal and past Yarnton, before reaching the quaint village of Woodstock.
Visit the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum and focus on their Churchill exhibit, discovering his time with the Queen's Own Oxfordshire Hussars. After this educational stop, have a well-earned meal at the Macdonald Bear Hotel.
Take the short ride to Blenheim Palace and revel in the opulence of this extravagant palace, the lavish birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. While at the palace, make sure to view their special exhibit on their most famous son.
Ride through the palace grounds and pit your wits against the Marlborough Hedge Maze, before cycling to St. Martin's Church, in the small village of Bladon. Here, in the graveyard, you can find the sombre memorial to Churchill in the place that he was buried.
After discovering Churchill, from birth to death, take the National Cycle Network route back to Oxford.
